My name is Oksana Maksimchuk, I am a producer, journalist and filmmaker. In 1994 I graduated from Moscow State University, at the faculty of Television Journalism. I continued my education at the School of Journalism in Tilburg in the Netherlands and later at the University of Amsterdam, at the faculty of Film and Television Studies. I moved to Amsterdam in 1996 and I started my career as a correspondent in the Netherlands for Russian magazines and radio.
Later I worked as a researcher and producer for Dutch and Russian television, advertisement agencies and different international production houses such as NTR, NPS, RTL 4, NET 5, SBS6, VPRO, John de Mol, NOS Journaal, Humanistische Omroep, Российская Государственная телекомпания, Submarione Production Company, Eyeworks groep (Edmond Film), JWT International, MacGyver Company, De Haaien Production and Zeppers Film & TV Productions. I was also fortunate to work for major international film projects and famous directors Jos Stelling and Peter Greenaway . A couple of years ago I achieved my dream: I made the 60 minute documentary “Adapters”, about my generation at the crossroads between two eras: Soviet time and new capitalism in Russia.
Some of my interests are writing and teaching. My stories were published by well known Dutch publisher Querido and more recently I gave several master classes in Netherlands and Russia.
